The ISCAR 5620528 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding materials including stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Carrying the ECS-E-3 series designation and ISCAR material grade IC900, this single-end tool features a 2 mm cutting diameter, a 3 mm length of cut, and three helical flutes with a 38-degree helix angle. The cutting geometry includes a 45-degree chamfer angle suited for chamfering and edge-prep work. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature alloy applications. The 6 mm Weldon flat shank supports secure tool holding in demanding setups.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers handling stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces where tight tolerances and reliable surface finish are required. Rated for multiple operations including shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing, this tool fits into multi-operation programs without tool changes. The extended-reach neck design, with a 1.90 mm neck diameter and 8 mm reach length, allows access to features with restricted clearance. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide end mill in the ISCAR ECS-E-3 series, intended for use in CNC tool holders accepting 6 mm Weldon flat shank tooling. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (material codes M and S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a properly sized end mill holder or collet chuck rated for the shank diameter before beginning any setup. Verify spindle and coolant connections are locked out before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturers recommended depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material, and confirm runout with a dial indicator after tool seating to protect the close-tolerance cutting diameter.
