Product Description

The ISCAR 5607696 is a solid carbide milling insert from the MILLSHRED series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It carries the ANSI designation P290 ACKT 1806PDR-FEW with manufacturer grade IC380, a submicron carbide substrate with a PVD-applied TiCN and TiN coating. The insert measures 0.421 inches in inscribed circle diameter and 0.236 inches thick, features a parallelogram (ACKT) shape, and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.709 inches per edge. Two cutting edges per insert and a positive rake geometry combine to reduce cutting forces during interrupted or difficult-to-machine material passes.

This insert is engineered for milling superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material codes S and H. It is suited for use in aerospace, power generation, and precision machining environments where tool life and edge integrity in difficult materials are priorities.
