The ISCAR 5606006 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for tangential plunge milling operations. Carrying the ANSI designation HTP LNHT 1006 ETR IC808, this double-sided insert features a butterfly shape with a 90-degree included angle and four cutting edges, maximizing tool life per insert. The IC808 grade uses a submicron carbide substrate with a multilayer PVD coating of TiAlN, AlTiN, and TiN applied through ISCAR Sumotec PVD technology. It delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.335 inches and a cutting edge effective length of 0.335 inches. The negative rake geometry and chamfered, honed cutting edge style suit high-demand metalcutting environments. Installation Notes

Installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state per shop safety procedures.
