The ISCAR 5605307 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI designation LNET 082604-TN-N in manufacturer grade IC910. It features a butterfly insert shape with four cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, making it suitable for high-productivity slotting and milling operations. The insert is coated with an AlTiN finish applied via PVD process, providing thermal resistance and wear protection during cutting. Key geometry includes a negative rake angle of 20 degrees, a T-Land cutting edge style, a relief angle of 0 degrees, and a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch). It weighs 0.057 pounds and is held in the cutter body by a screw-type clamping method.
This insert is designed for machining steel and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material application codes P and K. It is used in slotting and milling applications where consistent depth of cut control and edge stability are required. The TANGSLOT series designation indicates use in tangential slotting cutter bodies. Verified cutter series compatibility includes ETS-LN08 and FDN-LN08 cutter bodies. This insert is a single-sided design with an included angle of 90 degrees, suited for industrial machining environments where insert change frequency and edge count efficiency are priorities for machinists and toolroom professionals.
Compatible with ETS-LN08 and FDN-LN08 cutter bodies in the TANGSLOT series. Designed for use with screw-clamp tangential milling and slotting cutter systems accepting LNET 08 style inserts.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key driver as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new insert.
