The ISCAR 5605178 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for use in HELIMILL series face and shoulder milling cutters. Running the APKT 1003PDR HM90 insert geometry with an IC328 grade, this insert features a PVD-applied TiCN coating that supports cutting in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parallelogram insert shape and positive rake geometry reduce cutting forces and promote clean chip formation. With a thickness of 0.139 inches and an inscribed circle of 0.264 inches, it fits the HM90-10 cutter series and is held in place by a screw-clamping method. Two cutting edges per insert are available.
