The ISCAR 5604562 is a ball nose replaceable milling tip from the Multimaster MM HBR series, designed for use with compatible Multimaster modular tooling systems. This tip features a 1.0000 inch cutting diameter, a spherical milling geometry, and is manufactured from submicrograin carbide in the IC908 grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating. The right-hand, 2-flute design delivers consistent cutting performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It is installed and serviced by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC milling platforms in production and job-shop environments.
This milling tip is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 90-degree lead angle and ball nose profile make it appropriate for profiling, contouring, and finishing operations. With a functional length of 0.9210 inches and an extension from holder of 0.9213 inches, it fits within compact reach requirements typical of die and mold work or complex 3D surface milling. No chipbreaker is featured, and coolant-through capability is not included in this tip configuration.
This tip is part of the ISCAR Multimaster MM HBR series and is designed as a replaceable head for compatible Multimaster modular milling holders accepting the MM HBR 1.00 interface. Refer to ISCAR tooling catalogues and holder specifications to confirm shank compatibility before ordering.
Installation of replaceable milling tips should be performed by qualified machining personnel with the spindle powered down and the machine in a locked-out state per facility LOTO procedures. Use the appropriate ISCAR torque wrench or installation tool specified for the Multimaster connection — do not use unapproved tools on the mating thread. Inspect the holder interface for debris, damage, or wear before seating the tip. Verify runout after installation before returning the tool to service.
