The ISCAR 5604024 is a concave radius replaceable milling tip designed for high-performance corner rounding operations in multi-tooth milling applications. Part of the Multimaster MM HR series, this carbide tip carries the IC908 manufacturer grade and features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, providing wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. It runs a 2-flute, right-hand configuration with a 0.374-inch maximum depth of cut, a cutting diameter of 0.201 inches, and a functional length of 0.492 inches. The sub-micrograin carbide substrate supports demanding interrupted cuts. This tip is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians working with Multimaster-compatible toolholders.
This milling tip is suited for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, N, S, and H. Typical applications include corner rounding and profile milling on precision machined components in aerospace, general metalworking, and die-and-mold environments. The 90-degree lead angle and 0-degree chamfer angle make it well matched to square-shoulder entry passes where a clean concave radius transition is required. The replaceable tip format allows quick changeover without removing the holder from the machine.
Designed for use with Multimaster MM HR series compatible toolholders accepting the 2.5/094-5.1 insert size. Verify holder interface and insert seat specification before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians familiar with modular milling tip systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before replacing tips. Use the appropriate Multimaster torque key and seating procedure per the toolholder manufacturer documentation to secure the tip correctly. Inspect the holder seat for chips or debris before installing a new tip.
