The ISCAR 5603287 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-efficiency face and shoulder milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Carrying the ANSI designation HM90 APCR 160516R-P IC28, this insert features a parallelogram shape with an 85-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry, and a honed cutting edge for clean, consistent material removal. It operates in right-hand orientation and is held in the cutter body via a screw-clamp method. The IC28 uncoated (bright) grade is optimized for cutting non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper alloys. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setup technicians install these inserts in compatible HELIALU series milling cutter bodies.
