The ISCAR 5602363 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI designation ADKT 1505PDTR-76 IC928. It belongs to ISCARs HELIMILL series and is designed for face and shoulder milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parallelogram-shaped insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, a positive rake geometry, and a T-Land cutting edge style. With two cutting edges, an inscribed circle of 0.3760 inches, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.4720 inches, it is engineered to deliver controlled chip formation and extended tool life in demanding metal-removal applications. Installation requires a screw-holding method consistent with compatible HELIMILL cutter bodies.
This insert is suited for use in CNC machining centers performing milling operations on ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces. The IC928 grade with PVD TiAlN coating performs well in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions on steel and stainless steel, and is rated for superalloys and titanium under material codes P, M, and S. Compatible cutter series include ETS, FTS, ADK, and E90. The right-hand orientation and 1505 insert size code are standard references when matching to the appropriate HELIMILL toolholder. Typical applications include roughing to semi-finishing passes where consistent chip breaking and edge stability are priorities.
Designed for use with HELIMILL series cutter bodies in the ETS, FTS, ADK, and E90 cutter series. The insert size code is 1505, and the right-hand designation must be matched to the corresponding toolholder hand orientation.
This insert is installed and serviced by machinists or tool-crib technicians following standard indexable-insert procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key driver specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the clamping screw - do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and screw thread for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
