The ISCAR 5601351 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI designation ADKT 150564R-HM in grade IC328. It is a parallelogram-shaped, single-sided insert with a TiCN coating applied via PVD process. Designed for the HELIMILL series, this right-hand insert delivers positive rake cutting geometry with a honed cutting edge style. With 2 cutting edges, a maximum depth of cut of 0.5120 inches, and an effective cutting edge length of 0.5200 inches, it is suited to demanding material removal in production milling environments. Licensed ISCAR tooling technicians and machining professionals install and index this insert as part of scheduled cutter maintenance.
This insert is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, covering material grades P, M, and S per ISO classification. The HM chip breaker geometry is selected for applications where controlled chip formation is critical, particularly in interrupted cuts or finishing passes on difficult-to-machine alloys. Typical installation scenarios include face milling, shoulder milling, and high-feed operations on CNC machining centers in both job-shop and production environments. The insert meets ANSI and ISO 13399 standards, making it compatible with standardized tool assemblies.
Compatible with ISCAR cutter series ETS, FTS, ADK, and E90 as specified by the manufacturer. Designed as a direct-fit replacement insert for HELIMILL series toolholders accepting the ADKT 150564R-HM insert style.
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use the correct Torx or hex key driver to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Handle solid carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges prior to use.
