The ISCAR 5600505 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ISO designation SEKN 1203AFTN and manufacturer grade IC250. It features a square insert shape with a 90-degree included angle, four usable cutting edges, and a neutral hand orientation. The insert measures 0.5 inches in length and width with a thickness of 0.125 inches and an inscribed circle of 0.5 inches. A PVD-applied TiCN plus TiN dual-layer coating protects the carbide substrate during high-speed milling. A positive rake geometry combined with a T-Land cutting edge style reduces cutting forces and supports stable chip formation. This insert is used by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians in production milling applications.
Designed for the ISCARMILL F45E cutter series, this insert is suited for face milling and shoulder milling of steel and stainless steel workpieces in both roughing and semi-finishing operations. It carries material grade designations C5 and C6, aligning with ISO P and M material application groups. The maximum depth of cut is 0.256 inches (6.50 mm), and the effective cutting edge length is 0.5 inches. Typical applications include high-feed production runs on CNC machining centers in job shops and manufacturing facilities where consistent insert-to-insert repeatability is required.
Designed for use with the ISCARMILL F45E cutter series. Insert style SEK, ANSI code SEK 42AFTN IC250, ISO code SEKN 1203AFTN. Held in the cutter body by clamp. Compatible with C5 and C6 material grade toolholders for ISO P and M workpiece material groups.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamp — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or damage before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and edge security.
