The ISCAR 5594061 is a CNMG 432-TF turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process. It belongs to ISCAR's Isoturn series and is designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape (Insert Shape Code C), a TF chip breaker geometry, and the IC908 manufacturer grade. Insert length is 12.9 mm (0.5079 inches), inscribed circle diameter is 0.5 inches, corner radius is 0.0315 inches (1/32 inch), and insert thickness is 0.1874 inches (3/16 inch). Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert into compatible CNMG toolholders.
This insert is suited for turning applications on steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), hardened materials (H), and superalloys (S) as indicated by its primary and secondary workpiece material classifications. The TF chip breaker promotes positive rake cutting action, making it effective for finishing and light-to-medium turning passes. Maximum depth of cut is 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches). The Isoturn series is commonly used in high-volume production turning environments where consistent chip control and surface finish are required.
Designed for use in CNMG-style toolholders that accept 432 size inserts with clamp or pin holding. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under ISO material groups P, M, K, H, and S. Conforms to ISO 13399 and material grades C1, C2, C6, and C7.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the correct torque driver or clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert without overtightening. Inspect the insert pocket and locating surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert. This insert is intended for installation by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians familiar with turning toolholder systems.
