The ISCAR 5591906 is a WNMG 3-1-NF geometry turning insert from the Isoturn series, manufactured from solid carbide and coated with TiCN and Al2O3 via a CVD process. This 80-degree trigon insert features a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, an insert length of 0.257 inches (6.53 mm), and a 1/64-inch corner radius. It is designed for external and internal turning operations, including boring, where consistent edge integrity and wear resistance are required on challenging workpiece materials. The insert seats using a clamp and pin holding method and carries a positive rake geometry for reduced cutting forces.

This insert is engineered for machining stainless steel and steel workpieces. It is well suited to CNC turning centers and manual lathes in both production and job-shop environments. The NF chip breaker geometry supports finishing and semi-finishing passes where controlled chip formation is critical.
