The ISCAR 5569324 is a DNMG331-F3P carbide turning insert in the IC807 grade, designed for finish-turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a negative side clearance and a positive rake geometry, delivering controlled chip formation at light depths of cut. The PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating — marketed under ISCAR's SumoTec designation — provides high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloy workpiece materials. With a 0.4 mm corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 3.0 mm, this insert is suited to tight-tolerance finishing passes where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are the priority.
The 5569324 belongs to the ISCAR Isoturn series and is intended for use in right-hand turning toolholders accepting DNMG-style inserts. Typical applications include finish-turning of P-category steels, M-category stainless steels, K-category cast irons, and S-category superalloys and special materials. It is well matched to production environments running moderate to high cutting speeds where wear resistance is more critical than heavy stock removal. The ISO insert code is DNMG 110404 and the ANSI size code is 331, which are standard designations used to cross-reference compatible toolholder pockets and clamping hardware.
Designed as a right-hand DNMG-style insert compatible with toolholders accepting ANSI size code 331 and ISO size code 110404 insert pockets. Verify toolholder seat geometry and clamping style before installation.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing any insert. Use the toolholder manufacturer's recommended torque driver and clamping hardware — do not substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface for chips or debris before installation, as uneven seating will affect tool life and surface finish.
