The ISCAR 5568103 is a carbide replaceable tip drill from the FCP series, designed for precision drilling in metal fabrication and machining operations. Built with a solid carbide tip in IC908 submicron grade, this insert delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting environments. The tip features a TiAlN PVD coating applied via physical vapor deposition, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life. With a cutting diameter of 0.480 inches and a 140-degree included angle drill point, the 5568103 is suited for high-accuracy through and flat-bottom hole applications. Two spiral flutes with a slow spiral geometry and web thinned point reduce entry forces and improve chip evacuation during the cut.

Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and torqued by trained machinists or toolroom personnel using the manufacturer-specified torque wrench for the FCP seat interface. Always ensure the drill body and seat are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the tip. Power down or lock out the spindle completely before performing any tip change. Do not exceed the drill body manufacturer rated speeds and feeds for the selected workpiece material.
