The ISCAR 5568076 is a carbide replaceable tip drill from the FCP series, designed for precision hole-making in ferrous and hard materials. The cutting tip is manufactured from solid carbide in the IC908 submicron grade and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The drill features a 140-degree included angle with a thinned point geometry and a slow spiral, two-flute design optimized for chip evacuation in steel and cast iron applications. It is installed and replaced by machinists and CNC tooling technicians as a consumable insert in compatible FCP-series drill bodies.
This replaceable tip is intended for drilling operations in steel and cast iron as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The flat-bottom style and thinned web geometry make it well-suited for controlled-entry drilling where point stability and reduced thrust force are priorities. It conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards, supporting integration into digital tool management systems. This tip is a direct replacement component for FCP-series drill bodies using insert seat size 9, ISO number FCP 093.
Designed as a replaceable tip for FCP-series drill bodies using insert seat size 9, ISO number FCP 093. Compatible with primary workpiece materials P (steel) and K (cast iron), and secondary workpiece materials M (stainless steel), S (super-alloys and titanium), and H (hard material).
This replaceable tip is installed and removed by hand or with the appropriate torque tool as specified by the drill body manufacturer — do not use impact tools or substitute fasteners. Power down and lock out any CNC spindle or machining center before replacing the tip. Inspect the insert seat and mating surfaces for chips or contamination before seating the new tip, as debris on the seat face will affect runout and tip retention. Follow the drill body manufacturer's seating and clamping procedure outlined in the tool documentation.
