The ISCAR 5567943 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Part of the HCP-IQ series, this tip features a 10.70 mm (0.421 inch) cutting diameter and a 134-degree self-centering drill point angle that reduces the need for center drilling before operation. The IC908 submicron carbide grade combined with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating delivers strong wear resistance and heat management at the cutting edge. With a spiral slow-flute geometry and web-thinned construction, it supports consistent chip evacuation in deep-hole drilling scenarios. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary users of this insert style.
This replaceable tip is designed for use on compatible HCP-IQ series drill bodies with an insert seat size of 10. Primary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron (ISO material codes P and K). Secondary applications cover stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO codes M, S, and H). The insert geometry is classified as P and the part conforms to ISO 13399 standards for cutting tool data representation, making it compatible with CAM and tool management systems that support that specification.
Designed for use with ISCAR HCP-IQ series drill bodies at insert seat size 10. ISO number HCP 107-IQ is associated with this tip. Verify body compatibility with the specific drill body catalog before ordering.
Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and serviced by trained machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a fixture or tool holder before seating or removing the tip. Use the manufacturer-specified torque key or wrench for the twist-lock mechanism — do not overtighten by hand or with unapproved tools, as this can damage the seating surface. Confirm tip seating is flush and secure before initiating a cut.
