The ISCAR 5567940 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill in the HCP-IQ series, designed for precision drilling in demanding machining environments. Carrying the IC908 manufacturer grade with a submicron carbide substrate, this tip delivers consistent performance in steel and cast iron applications. The TiAlN PVD coating resists heat buildup and wear during high-speed cutting. The self-centering, web-thinned point geometry reduces entry thrust force, while the slow spiral flute configuration promotes chip evacuation in deep-hole drilling scenarios. The 134-degree included angle suits flat and curved workpiece entry. This tip is installed and replaced by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC drilling operations.
The 5567940 tip is sized for the HCP-IQ insert seat size 10 system, targeting drilling in steel and cast iron as primary workpiece materials. Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials, making it adaptable across a broad range of machining applications. The self-centering point and slow spiral design are well suited to deep-hole drilling setups where positional accuracy and chip control are critical. This tip is commonly used in horizontal and vertical machining centers running ISO P and K material classifications.
Designed for use with HCP-IQ series replaceable tip drill bodies at insert seat size 10. ISO number reference: HCP 103-IQ. Compatible with primary workpiece materials classified as ISO P (steel) and ISO K (cast iron), and secondary materials classified as ISO M (stainless steel), ISO S (super-alloys and titanium), and ISO H (hard materials).
Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and serviced by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before removing or seating the tip. Use the appropriate torque wrench and tool body interface as specified by the drill body manufacturer — do not overtighten or use improvised tools on the tip seat. Confirm proper tip seating and runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut.
