The ISCAR 5567742 is a carbide replaceable tip drill from the FCP series, designed for precision drilling in demanding metalworking applications. The tip is manufactured from solid carbide at IC908 grade with a submicron material grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for extended tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. It features a 1.000 inch cutting diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a flat bottom style geometry with web thinning to reduce thrust forces at entry. With a slow spiral, two-flute configuration and P insert geometry, this tip delivers controlled chip evacuation in ferrous materials. It is sized for FCP series insert seat size 25 bodies and conforms to ISO 13399 standards.
This replaceable tip drill is suited for production drilling operations in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is primarily rated for ISO P and K workpiece material groups, with secondary suitability for M, S, and H groups. The flat bottom geometry makes it appropriate for applications where a flat-entry or shallow-hole profile is required. Typical install environments include CNC machining centers and drilling cells in industrial manufacturing, tool rooms, and job shops. A licensed machinist or CNC operator installs and services this tip.
Designed as a replaceable tip for ISCAR FCP series drill bodies with insert seat size 25. Compatible with ISO P and K primary workpiece material groups (steel and cast iron) and M, S, and H secondary groups (stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials). ISO number FCP 254.
This replaceable tip is installed and torqued into an FCP series drill body by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician following the drill body manufacturer torque and seating instructions. Ensure the drill body and tip seat are clean and free of chips or debris before installation. The cutting tool must be secured in the machine spindle per the machine tool manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material group.
