The ISCAR 5567342 is a solid carbide replaceable drill tip designed for use with modular drill bodies in high-productivity hole-making operations. Part of the HCP-IQ series, this tip features a 17/32 inch (0.5310 inch decimal) cutting diameter and a 134-degree included drill point angle with a self-centering point geometry. The PVD-applied TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection when cutting steel, cast iron, and secondary materials including stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The slow spiral, two-flute design and web-thinned geometry reduce entry forces and chip evacuation resistance. Installation and tool management conform to ISO 13399 standards.
This replaceable tip is suited for drilling applications in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials across both production machining and job-shop environments. The HCP-IQ series interface uses a twist-lock holding method to secure the tip in compatible modular drill bodies at insert seat size 13. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers, lathes with live tooling, and dedicated drilling machines where deep-hole, self-centering performance is required. Primary workpiece material codes are P (steel) and K (cast iron), with secondary capability across M, S, and H material groups.
Designed for use with ISCAR HCP-IQ series modular drill bodies accepting insert seat size 13 and ISO number HCP 135-IQ. Compatible drill bodies must use the twist-lock insert holding method. No additional compatible model numbers were specified in the product data.
Replaceable drill tips of this type are installed and removed by machinists or toolroom personnel using the twist-lock interface on the mating drill body — consult the drill body documentation for the correct installation torque and procedure. Ensure the insert seat and locating surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating the tip. Do not use damaged or out-of-tolerance drill bodies, as improper seating will compromise hole quality and tip life. Follow the machine tool builder and cutting tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy for the specific workpiece material.
