The ISCAR 5567138 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill insert in the ICM series, designed for high-precision drilling in demanding materials. Carrying manufacturer grade IC907 with a submicron carbide grade, it features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating that delivers heat resistance and edge durability. The insert has a 140-degree included angle with a thinned web point and a slow spiral, T-Land flute geometry. At 0.551 inches cutting diameter and 0.321 inches in height, this tip seats into compatible ICM-series drill bodies at insert seat size 14. Licensed machinists and metalworking professionals install this insert as part of a modular drilling system.
This replaceable tip insert is engineered for primary use in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, covering ISO material codes M and S. Secondary applications include steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO codes P, K, and H). The slow spiral geometry and T-Land style reduce cutting forces in difficult-to-machine materials, making this insert appropriate for precision drilling operations in aerospace, oil and gas, and general metalworking environments. It conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
Designed for use with ICM-series compatible drill bodies accepting insert seat size 14. This insert is part of the ICM 140 ISO number family within the ISCAR ICM replaceable tip drill system.
Installation of replaceable carbide tip drills should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians following the machine tool manufacturer's spindle lockout and tooling change procedures. Ensure the insert seat and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating the tip. Use the designated torque wrench or key specified by the drill body manufacturer — do not exceed recommended clamping force. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
