The ISCAR 5567006 is the ICM0250 replaceable carbide tip drill insert in grade IC908, designed for use in ISCAR ICM-series modular drill bodies. The insert features a solid submicron carbide construction with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating and a 140-degree included point angle. At 0.25 inches cutting diameter and 0.157 inches in overall length, it is engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding workpiece materials including stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The T-Land geometry with web thinning reduces entry forces and promotes chip control. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers of this tooling component.
This insert is intended for precision drilling applications across industries that process difficult-to-machine materials. Primary workpiece materials include stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes M and S). Secondary applications cover steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, K, and H). The slow spiral, two-flute configuration suits chip evacuation in ductile and gummy alloys. The insert seats into the ICM-series drill body using a twist-locking method with insert seat size 6, and the ISO designation for this tip is ICM 0635.
Designed for use with ISCAR ICM-series modular drill bodies accepting insert seat size 6. The ISO tip designation for this insert is ICM 0635. Compatible primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium; secondary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials.
Installation and indexing of replaceable carbide tip inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before removing or seating any insert. Clean the insert pocket and seating surfaces before installing the tip to ensure proper seating and runout. Follow the drill body manufacturer torque and engagement guidelines for the twist-lock interface; do not force or over-torque the insert.
