The ISCAR 5566846 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. Manufactured to ISO 13399 standards, this insert features a WNMG 431-F3P geometry with an 80-degree trigon shape and an F3P chip breaker. The multilayer CVD coating stack of TiCN, Al2O3, TiCN, and TiN provides wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert measures 8.71 mm (0.343 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch (0.0156-inch) corner radius. It is double-ended, allowing use of both cutting edges before replacement. This insert is part of the ISCAR Isoturn series and is intended for installation by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.

This insert is suited for turning cast iron and steel workpieces in both roughing and finishing operations.
