The ISCAR 5560585 is a VNMG332-F3P geometry turning insert in grade IC8250, designed for single-sided and double-ended external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide and carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The 35-degree diamond (V) shape delivers a tight nose angle suited for profiling and finishing passes. Corner radius measures 0.0313 inches and insert length is 0.654 inches, placing it in the Isoturn series platform. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as part of a clamp-and-pin toolholder system.
This insert targets stainless steel and carbon steel workpiece materials, covering ISO material codes M and P. The F3P chip breaker geometry is optimized for positive-rake cutting action, controlling chip flow during medium finishing and light roughing cuts. Maximum depth of cut is 0.118 inches (3.00 mm), making it well matched for close-tolerance turning, facing, and profiling operations where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces per order.
Designed for use in VNMG-style clamp-and-pin toolholders within the Isoturn series platform. Insert conforms to ISO 13399 standards under Iso Code VNMG 332-F3P. Consult toolholder pocket specifications to confirm seat geometry and clamping compatibility before installation.
This insert is installed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket locating surfaces and verify the clamping pin engages the insert hole before torquing the clamp screw. Inspect the cutting edge and chip breaker for chips or cracks before each use; do not run a damaged insert.
