Manufactured to the CCGT insert style with an 80-degree diamond shape, this uncoated IC20-grade insert delivers sharp cutting geometry suited to finishing passes and light interrupted cuts. It features a positive rake angle, a 0.0079-inch corner radius for tight-tolerance work, and an inscribed circle of 0.2500 inches. The AS chip breaker geometry controls chip evacuation effectively across a range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as part of the Isoturn series tooling system.
This insert is suited for turning applications on non-ferrous metals, cast iron, stainless steel, and steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material groups K, M, and N as primary designations, with additional suitability across H, P, and S classifications. Typical applications include finish turning on tight-tolerance components in production and job-shop environments where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical.
