The ISCAR 5531413 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance holemaking in demanding machining applications. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and finished with a TiAlN coating, this bit delivers extended tool life when cutting through hard and abrasive materials. It features a 5 mm diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a right-hand spiral flute configuration. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 8 mm in diameter, making it compatible with standard chuck systems. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole operations. Machinists and CNC operators working in production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This drill bit is engineered for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It fits within the ISCAR SCDT-M6 series and is sized within the 5 mm to 6 mm drill bit range. The 34 mm flute length accommodates a maximum drilling depth of 16.5 mm, making it well suited for precision holemaking in both CNC machining centers and manual drill press setups across metalworking and toolroom environments.
Part of the ISCAR SCDT-M6 series. Designed for holemaking in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Suitable for use in CNC machining centers and other machine tools accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or changing tooling. Verify that the shank is fully seated and properly secured in the collet or chuck before initiating a cut. Activate coolant-through supply before drilling to maintain chip clearance and prevent heat buildup at the cutting edge.
