The ISCAR 5510354 is a WNMG331M3M-style solid carbide turning insert in the IC6015 manufacturer grade, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The insert features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides thermal resistance and wear protection across a range of cutting conditions. The trigon (80-degree included angle) geometry with a positive rake and M-tolerance class makes this insert well suited for moderate to finishing turning passes. The M3M chip breaker geometry is engineered to control chip flow across a range of feed rates and depths. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for turning stainless steel and other ISO M-category workpiece materials, including austenitic and ferritic stainless grades. The IC6015 grade is positioned for applications that require a balance of edge toughness and coating hardness, making it a practical choice where built-up edge and heat at the cutting zone are concerns. The Isoturn series designation indicates compatibility with ISCAR Isoturn toolholders that accept WNMG-style inserts with clamp and pin holding. Maximum recommended depth of cut is 3.50 mm (0.1378 inches). This insert is sold individually but is subject to a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.

This insert is installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians following standard turning insert indexing procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified fastener to seat the clamp screw — do not overtighten. Inspect the toolholder pocket and locating pin for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
