The ISCAR 5510313 is a WNMG332M3M turning insert in the IC6015 manufacturer grade, designed for use on CNC lathes and turning centers in metalworking operations. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide and features a CVD-applied multilayer coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN. This coating sequence provides wear resistance, thermal barrier properties, and a low-friction outer layer. The trigon (W) shape provides an 80-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry, and a corner radius of 0.0313 inches. Insert length is 6.52 mm (0.2567 inches) with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. The M3M chip breaker geometry is suited for medium machining conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert type.
This insert is intended for turning applications on stainless steel and other ISO M-category workpiece materials, which include austenitic and ferritic stainless steels as well as some heat-resistant alloys. The WNMG style fits standard WNMG toolholders using clamp and pin holding methods. It is appropriate for medium depths of cut up to 3.50 mm (0.1378 inches) in both roughing and semi-finishing passes. The Isoturn series designation indicates compatibility with ISCAR's Isoturn toolholder family. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in standard WNMG-style toolholders using clamp and pin clamping within the ISCAR Isoturn toolholder series. Conforms to ISO 13399 insert specifications.
This insert is installed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench per the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specification - do not overtighten the clamp screw or pin as this can chip the carbide seat. Verify insert seating and chip breaker orientation before resuming cutting operations.
