The ISCAR 5509767 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for high-productivity hole-making in demanding machining environments. Carrying the IC908 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this drill tip delivers strong wear resistance and heat management during interrupted and continuous cuts. The cutting diameter measures 0.591 inches, the tip features a 140-degree included angle, and the overall projection height is 0.344 inches. Two spiral flutes with a slow-spiral geometry support chip evacuation, while the double-margin point design promotes stability and hole quality. It installs via a twist-style insert holding mechanism into compatible ICK-2M series drill bodies. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this tooling component.
This replaceable tip is engineered for primary use on steel workpieces and is rated for secondary application on stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The ICK-2M series is well suited to general-purpose drilling operations in job shop, production machining, and aerospace component work where consistent hole tolerance and tool-change efficiency are priorities. The tip mates with the corresponding ICK-2M series drill body and follows ISO 13399 tooling data standards for system integration.
Designed for use with ISCAR ICK-2M series replaceable tip drill bodies. Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards. ISO Number: ICK 150-2M. Minimum order quantity is 2 pieces; package quantity is 1.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before tip replacement. The twist-style retention mechanism requires proper seating torque per the drill body manufacturer guidelines — do not overtighten or seat the tip without confirming full engagement in the pocket. Inspect the insert seat and coolant ports on the drill body for debris or damage before installing a new tip.
