The ISCAR 5509468 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill from the ICM series, designed for precision drilling in demanding materials including stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It carries the IC908 submicron carbide grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for heat resistance and edge durability under high-speed cutting conditions. The drill tip measures 0.295 inches in cutting diameter and 0.181 inches in height, with a 140-degree included angle and a thinned web point geometry. The two-flute slow spiral design with T-Land style and M geometry insert is engineered for controlled chip evacuation. This tip is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC drilling operations.
This replaceable tip drill is suited for production drilling applications in aerospace, medical, and precision machining environments where stainless steel, titanium, and superalloy workpieces are common. It also covers secondary workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and hard materials. The ICM series tip interfaces with compatible ICM drill bodies using a twist-lock insert holding method. The ISO number designation is ICM 075, and the part meets ISO 13399 tooling data standards. Package quantity is one tip per package, with a minimum order quantity of two.
Designed for use with compatible ISCAR ICM series drill bodies accepting insert seat size 7 tips. ISO designation ICM 075. Suitable for primary workpiece materials coded M and S (stainless steel, superalloy, titanium) and secondary materials coded P, K, and H (steel, cast iron, hard material).
This tip is installed and replaced by machinists or toolroom technicians on CNC machining centers or drill presses. Ensure the drill body is fully retracted and the spindle is powered down and locked before tip replacement. Seat the tip fully into the ICM body using the twist-lock interface and confirm secure engagement before resuming operation. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque and runout specifications for the drill body in use.
