The ISCAR 5509067 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding metal-cutting applications. It carries the IC908 manufacturer grade, a submicron carbide substrate, and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that resists heat and wear at the cutting edge. The drill tip features a 140-degree included angle with a thinned web point, a slow spiral flute geometry, and a honed cutting edge style. The cutting diameter is 0.516 inches (33/64 inch), and the functional length is 0.176 inches. It ships as a single replaceable tip and is intended for use in compatible ICK series drill bodies. Installation is performed by machining professionals on CNC turning centers and machining centers.
The 5509067 tip is engineered primarily for cast iron workpieces, identified under ISO material code K. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO codes P, M, S, and H). The ICK series platform uses a twist-style insert holding method with insert seat size 13, and the ISO number for this tip is ICK 131. This tip is suited for general drilling operations on machining centers where a rigid, repeatable replaceable-tip system is preferred over a brazed or solid-drill approach. Minimum order quantity is 2 pieces.
Designed for use with compatible ISCAR ICK series drill bodies accepting insert seat size 13. Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards. Specific body compatibility should be verified against ISCAR ICK series documentation for seat size 13 and ISO number ICK 131.
Replaceable carbide drill tips are installed and serviced by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Before tip exchange, power down the machine spindle and verify the tool is fully stopped and locked out per your facility lockout/tagout procedure. Use the appropriate ISCAR torx or hex key specified for the ICK seat to seat the tip fully and evenly. Do not overtighten or substitute non-specified fasteners, as improper seating can cause tip breakage or body damage.
