The ISCAR 5509035 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill insert designed for the ICP series modular drilling system. Manufactured in the IC908 submicron carbide grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability in demanding drilling and chamfering operations. It carries a 140-degree drill point angle, a standard point type, and a helical flute configuration with web thinning to reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation. The insert seats into ICP-series bodies using a clamp-style holding method. Cutting diameter is 1.016 inches (25.81 mm) with a functional length of 0.4157 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC operators handling production drilling work are the primary installers.

This insert is intended for hole making, chamfering, and general drilling applications in metalworking environments. Primary workpiece material is steel (ISO material code P). Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials (ISO codes M, K, S, and H).
