The ISCAR 5507760 is a WNMG433GN-style solid carbide turning insert in the IC8350 grade, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features a CVD-applied TiCN and Al2O3 multilayer coating that provides wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous cuts. It carries an 80-degree trigon (W) shape with a neutral clearance angle (N), a 0.0472-inch corner radius, and an inscribed circle of 0.5000 inches. The GN chip breaker geometry is matched to the IC8350 grade for medium to heavy-duty steel and stainless steel turning. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this insert as part of the Isoturn series tooling system.
This insert is suited for turning operations on steel (ISO P) and stainless steel (ISO M) workpiece materials in both production and job-shop environments. The WNMG433GN geometry fits standard WNMG-style insert pockets and is retained by clamp and pin holding methods. It is appropriate for applications requiring consistent chip control across varying feed rates and depths of cut up to 0.1770 inches. The IC8350 grade is positioned for general-purpose to demanding turning where coating durability and edge integrity are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard insert for WNMG433-style insert pockets within the ISCAR Isoturn series toolholding system. Compatible workpiece materials are ISO P (steel) and ISO M (stainless steel) per the manufacturer grade specification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket before engaging the clamp and pin; do not torque the clamp screw beyond the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert to avoid premature edge failure.
