The ISCAR 5507751 is a solid carbide turning insert in the WNMG432TF GR IC807 configuration, designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features an 80-degree trigon (W-shape) geometry with a positive rake angle and a 1/32-inch corner radius, making it well suited for medium to semi-finish turning passes. The IC807 grade substrate is coated with TiAlN via a PVD coating process, providing strong resistance to heat and wear during high-speed cutting. The insert measures 8.70 mm in length with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle and a 3/16-inch thickness, and weighs approximately 0.035 pounds. It is held in place by clamp and pin methods and carries a clearance code of N with tolerance code M per ISO 13399 standards.
This insert is part of the ISCAR Isoturn series and is rated for machining workpiece materials classified under ISO material groups M, P, and S — covering stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys. It is intended for use in production turning environments where consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy are required. The TF chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation across a broad range of cutting parameters, reducing the risk of chip jamming in tight clearances. Typical applications include turning shafts, flanges, and precision components in job shops and production facilities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard WNMG432 insert pockets using clamp and pin holding systems conforming to ISO 13399. Compatible with toolholders designed for WNMG-style inserts with a 0.203-inch hole diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamp to the specified holding torque as listed in the toolholder manufacturer documentation. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and accurate cutting geometry.
