The drill features a 140-degree included angle with a thinned point and slow spiral flutes, providing controlled chip evacuation and stable entry. The cutting diameter is 1.122 inches, with a functional length of 0.468 inches and an overall height of 0.669 inches. The honed cutting edge geometry helps maintain edge integrity during interrupted cuts and high-feed passes. Installation and replacement are handled by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians in production environments.
This replaceable tip drill is intended for drilling operations in steel as its primary workpiece material. Secondary material compatibility includes stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering a broad range of production machining scenarios. Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and serviced by CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Before changing the tip, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state. Use the manufacturer-specified torx or pin wrench for the twist-lock retention system to avoid damaging the seating surfaces. Verify tip seating is fully flush and secure before returning the tool to service; an improperly seated tip can cause runout, surface finish issues, or tip ejection during cutting.
