The ISCAR 5506340 is a square indexable drill insert designed for use in indexable twist drills requiring precise, repeatable cutting performance in a range of workpiece materials. Carrying the SOMX06GF geometry and IC908 manufacturer grade, this insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating over a solid carbide substrate. The 6.2 mm (0.244 inches) inscribed circle and 0.4 mm corner radius suit it to moderate-depth drilling applications where edge sharpness and coating durability are critical. The GF chipbreaker geometry promotes chip evacuation during drilling operations. Installed by machinists and tool-setup technicians in CNC and conventional drilling operations.

Installation Notes
