Product Description

The ISCAR 5506324 is a solid carbide turning insert with the CCET3.002WF designation and IC907 manufacturer grade. It features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating stack designed for high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 9.5 mm (0.374 inches) in length with a 3/8-inch (0.3752 inches) inscribed circle and a 0.002-inch corner radius. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, positive rake geometry, and WF chip breaker make this insert suited for finishing operations. It is held in place via screw clamping and is installed by machinists and CNC turning center operators in production and job shop environments.

This insert is intended for finishing passes on a turning center or CNC lathe. The WF chip breaker geometry targets light-to-moderate chip loads typical of finishing cuts. The IC907 grade covers a broad material range including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Maximum depth of cut is 2.00 mm (0.0787 inches). Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque - do not overtighten, as this can chip the insert edge. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
