The ISCAR 4513002 is an ER16 clamping collet nut designed to secure ER16 series collets in compatible tool holders during CNC machining, milling, drilling, and routing operations. The nut threads onto the tool holder nose and applies clamping force to the collet, holding cutting tools concentrically under load. At 0.5 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece component suited for high-speed spindle applications where secure tool retention is critical. Machinists, CNC operators, and tooling technicians install and replace these nuts as part of routine tooling maintenance or when thread wear affects clamping performance.
This clamping nut is used in machine shop and manufacturing environments wherever ER16 collet chucks are in service. Typical applications include vertical machining centers, CNC lathes with live tooling, and benchtop milling machines running ER16 tooling systems. The ER16 collet series accommodates smaller-diameter tool shanks and is common in precision light-duty cutting operations.
Designed as a replacement clamping nut for ER16 series collet chucks and tool holders. Compatible fitment is limited to tool holders machined to the ER16 collet standard.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before replacing the collet nut, power down and lock out the machine spindle per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate ER16 collet nut spanner wrench to achieve proper seating torque — do not use pliers or improvised tools, as uneven clamping can cause runout. Inspect the tool holder threads for wear or damage before installing the new nut.
