The ISCAR 4502023 is an ER16 collet chuck designed for precision tool holding in CNC machining and milling applications. It accepts ER16 collets with a clamping range of 0.022 to 0.396 inches, accommodating a wide range of cutting tool shank sizes. The chuck features a 1.000-inch straight shank for direct spindle mounting and a 1.102-inch projection from the spindle face. Through-coolant capability is built in, routing coolant directly through the tool body to the cutting zone. Overall length is 4.055 inches. Actuation is by wrench. This chuck is used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 4502023 is suited for vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC mills, and similar equipment configured with 1-inch straight-shank toolholders. Its ER16 collet system is a widely adopted standard, making this chuck a practical choice for operations requiring frequent tool changes across small-diameter end mills, drills, and reamers. The through-coolant design supports higher cutting speeds and longer tool life by delivering coolant directly at the cutting edge, which is especially useful in deep-cavity milling and drilling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Compatible with standard ER16 collets. Designed for use in machining center spindles and CNC mill toolholders configured for a 1-inch straight shank. Verify spindle bore and coolant port configuration before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the chuck. Use the appropriate ER16 collet nut wrench to achieve proper clamping torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and that the machine coolant system is compatible with through-spindle delivery before operation.
