The ISCAR 4501932 is an ER20 collet chuck designed for CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other rotating-spindle applications where secure tool holding and coolant delivery are required. The chuck accepts ER20-series collets with a capacity range of 0.041 to 0.514 inches, covering a broad selection of end mills, drills, and reamers. It features a straight shank with a 3/4 inch shank diameter and a 1.562 inch projection from the gage line to the collet nose. Through-coolant capability allows cutting fluid to pass through the spindle directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat and extending tool life in demanding metal-cutting operations. Overall length is 4.062 inches. Actuation is by wrench. Weight is 2 pounds.
This collet chuck is suited for production machining environments where consistent tool runout and reliable coolant delivery are priorities. Typical applications include high-speed milling, drilling, and reaming in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The ER20 collet system is a widely adopted industry-standard, making this chuck compatible with the large inventory of ER20 collets available from multiple manufacturers. Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians setting up CNC or manual spindle equipment.
Designed for use with ER20-series collets in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with a straight-shank tool holder interface. Specific machine model compatibility depends on spindle bore diameter and retention system — verify machine specifications before installation.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the chuck. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate ER20 spanner nut wrench to seat the collet and secure the clamping nut — do not overtighten by hand or use improvised tools. Verify through-coolant passage alignment with the spindle coolant port before operating under pressure.
