The ISCAR 3606577 is a right-hand indexable boring bar in the Isoturn series, designed for internal boring and turning operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. Built to the A-MDUNR 12-3 toolholder style, it accepts DNMG 33.. series diamond-shaped inserts secured by a clamp holding method. The bar features a 3/4 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 8 inches, with a minimum bore diameter of 1.16 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.38 inches. A negative rake geometry at -6 degrees is standard for this style. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and insert life in demanding materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists install this bar in production and job-shop environments.
This boring bar is suited for residential and industrial machining operations requiring precision internal diameter work. It is appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes where controlled depth of cut and tight tolerances are needed. The clamp-style insert retention allows fast insert indexing without disturbing the bar setup. Compatible insert DNMG 33.. geometry makes it well-suited for turning ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces at moderate to high cutting speeds. The toolholder conforms to ISO 13399 standards, supporting tool data integration with CAM and presetting systems.
Designed for use with DNMG 33.. series inserts (compatible insert size code 33, diamond shape, negative rake). Toolholder style is A-MDUN or MDUN. Suitable for boring and turning applications on machines accepting 3/4 inch shank toolholders.
This toolholder is installed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before mounting or removing the boring bar. Verify shank clamping torque against the machine tool manufacturer specifications before engaging a cut. Index or replace DNMG inserts before they reach a wear state that could affect bore surface finish or dimensional accuracy.
