The ISCAR 3401303 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 2.5 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, with a 0.5 inch shank diameter for secure tool holder engagement. The four-flute spiral design runs a 38-degree helix angle, and the TiAlCN finish provides thermal and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The submicron grain carbide substrate supports edge retention in hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temp materials. This tool is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
The 3401303 is suited for milling operations in job shops, production machining cells, and toolrooms handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during slotting, profiling, and finishing passes. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC vertical machining center setups.
