The ISCAR 3401201 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. It carries a 1/2 inch diameter with a 0.09 inch corner radius and a 2.5 inch length of cut, providing extra-long reach for deep-cavity and shoulder milling operations. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating delivers heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. Variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and vibration during aggressive cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, and heavy manufacturing environments will find this tool suited for high-demand production work.
The ISCAR 3401201 is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its extended reach and centercutting capability make it well-suited for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where tool reach is a constraint. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures consistent, repeatable seating in standard end mill toolholders. This tool fits into normal-pitch, single-end applications and is categorized under the ECI-4-VF series for use with compatible toolholder setups.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Part of the ISCAR ECI-4-VF series; manufacturer catalog number ECI-4 500-2.5W09VF5. Compatible with toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, and confirm cutting parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the tool.
