The ISCAR 3401090 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding milling applications. The cutter measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius and carries four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a variable index geometry. Overall length is 5 inches with a 2.25-inch reach and a length of cut of approximately 1.024 inches. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal and abrasion resistance suited to high-speed cutting in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. Shank diameter is 0.75 inches with a Weldon flat and h6 tolerance for secure toolholder engagement.
This end mill is rated for roughing and finishing operations across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the extended reach configuration makes it well suited to deep-pocket and stepped-feature milling. The submicron carbide grade supports aggressive feeds while maintaining edge integrity at elevated cutting temperatures. It is intended for use with a compatible toolholder and is a single-end tool.
The ISCAR 3401090 carries catalog number ECI-4 750-2.25W015VF5 and is intended for use with a compatible toolholder. Rated for primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, S, and H covering steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Confirm the Weldon flat is properly aligned with the set screw in the toolholder before securing. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the cutting tool. Do not exceed the toolholder reach or overhang recommendations for the specific toolholder in use.
