The ISCAR 3399076 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 5/8-inch diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 0.015-inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip. The submicron carbide grade and DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating deliver excellent wear resistance and low friction, making this cutter well suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Professional machinists and CNC programmers will find this tool appropriate for production environments requiring precision and tool longevity.
This end mill is intended for use with non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and similar materials. Its extended-reach configuration, coarse pitch, and right-hand spiral flutes promote efficient chip evacuation in deep-pocket and slotting operations. The single-end, center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral cutting. It is sized for a straight cylindrical toolholder with a 5/8-inch shank and fits standard ER and hydraulic chuck systems commonly used in vertical machining centers and CNC mills. ISCAR catalog reference for this tool is ECAI-B3 .625-2CR015-4EC.
Designed for use with a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder accepting a 5/8-inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). ISCAR catalog series ECAI-B3-EC.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
