The ISCAR 3398412 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Measuring 0.625 inches in diameter with a 3-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length, this tool is built for extended-reach operations where standard-length end mills fall short. The 0.03-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in roughing and finishing passes. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance suited to hard materials and interrupted cuts. Variable index flute spacing helps suppress chatter during aggressive cuts. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals working on production or job-shop mill equipment.
Designed for use across a broad range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, this tool fits typical production milling, die-and-mold finishing, and aerospace component work. This end mill is installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly given the extended reach of this tool.
