The ISCAR 3398233 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Part of the ECI-4-VF series, it features a 0.75-inch mill diameter, a 0.125-inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable index geometry that reduces harmonic vibration during cutting. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating delivers exceptional heat and wear resistance, making this tool effective across a wide range of ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Overall length is 5 inches, with a 1.25-inch length of cut and a 0.75-inch straight-cylindrical shank held to h6 tolerance. It is rated for both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extended reach design, with a 3-inch reach length, accommodates deep-pocket and cavity work where standard-length tools cannot reach. The centercutting configuration allows plunge entry, expanding its use in die and mold, aerospace component machining, and general precision metalworking. It mounts in a standard toolholder and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or specialty manufacturing settings.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 0.75-inch diameter shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as identified by material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Compatible with the ISCAR ECI-4-VF series tooling system; manufacturer catalog number ECI-4 750-1.25/3.0C125VF5.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool release mechanism is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Confirm the shank is fully seated in the toolholder and that the h6 shank tolerance is matched to the holder bore for proper runout control. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
