The ISCAR 3398062 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It carries a 3/8-inch mill diameter and a 0.0300-inch corner radius, with four flutes ground in a right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction. The tool features a variable index geometry that supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating delivers thermal and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The 4-inch overall length and extended-reach configuration make it suitable for deep-cavity and hard-to-reach workzone applications. Installation requires a straight-cylindrical toolholder with h6 shank tolerance compliance.
This end mill is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. Its long-reach, centercutting design allows plunge entry and lateral milling in confined geometries. The ECI-4-VF series is commonly applied in mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general precision metalworking where tool life and surface finish consistency are both critical. Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling.
