The ISCAR 3333600 is a left-hand indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder from the SwissCut series, designed for external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and Swiss-type turning centers. It accepts SCH-style inserts held by a clamp-style insert holding method, providing secure tool engagement during interrupted cuts and high-feed operations. The toolholder handles groove widths from 1 mm to 3 mm and a maximum depth of cut of 11 mm (0.433 inches). The shank measures 0.5 inches by 0.5 inches with an overall length of 4.921 inches (125 mm). Machinists and toolroom technicians working with precision turned components will find this holder well-suited to tight-clearance grooving work where left-hand orientation is required.
This toolholder is intended for external grooving and cutoff applications on Swiss-type and conventional CNC turning equipment. Its compact 0.5-inch square shank fits standard tool blocks used in both gang-tool and turret-style setups. The left-hand configuration makes it appropriate for back-tool-post arrangements or operations where the cut is approached from the non-standard side. Compatible insert size codes include SCIR/L-41-AD, SCIR/L-41-AR/AL, SCIR/L-41-BRA/BLA, SCIR/L-41-ERA/ELA, SCIR/L-41-MTR/MTL, SCIR/L-41-N/R/L, and SCIR/L-41-NP.
Compatible with SCH-style inserts. Verified compatible insert size codes from the manufacturer: SCIR/L-41-AD, SCIR/L-41-AR/AL, SCIR/L-41-BRA/BLA, SCIR/L-41-ERA/ELA, SCIR/L-41-MTR/MTL, SCIR/L-41-N/R/L, and SCIR/L-41-NP. Coolant-through delivery is not supported on this holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine in a fully locked-out, de-energized state before mounting or removing the holder. Ensure the tool block bore and shank are clean and free of chips before seating. Torque all clamping hardware per the machine tool manufacturer's specifications for the tool block being used. Verify insert seating and tool overhang before returning the machine to service.
