The ISCAR 3260102 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the SumoCham series, designed for holemaking operations in metalworking and machining environments. It accepts a range of indexable drill tip inserts rather than a brazed or solid cutting head, allowing worn tips to be swapped without replacing the entire tool body. The drill accommodates diameters from 0.906 to 0.941 inches with a maximum drill depth of 2.72 inches (3xD ratio). Overall length is 6.51 inches. The 1.25-inch Weldon Flat shank provides positive rotational drive and secure tool holding in compatible chucks. Through-coolant capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the tip for chip evacuation and heat control in deep-hole applications. This tool body is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals.
The ISCAR 3260102 is suited for production drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where replaceable-tip tooling improves cost-per-hole economics over solid carbide drills. The DCN toolholder-style body fits standard Weldon Flat tool holders with a 1.25-inch bore. The 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for through-holes and moderate-depth blind holes in milling machines, machining centers, and CNC lathes with live tooling. The through-coolant feature supports both flood and high-pressure coolant delivery systems.
Compatible insert styles include FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICN, ICP, and iCP-2M at insert seat size 23. Designed for use in tool holders accepting a 1.25-inch Weldon Flat shank.
Installation and insert indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the shank in a Weldon Flat holder to the tool holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before seating a new tip insert. Through-coolant connections should be verified for proper sealing before resuming machining.
